Happy Monday! Let's get into it! Today's motivation comes from Isaiah 43:18-19--"“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." I wanted to share this scripture for those of us who have survived the first week of 2022, but who also are focused on the realism of what the year can bring. The motivation and excitement may be dwindling down now that the vision boards are completed and we're actually executing on the goals that we set. Even if you feel yourself falling off a little bit, DON'T DWELL! Don't allow the small diminishing of motivation or the unexpected hiccups of the first week and a half of the new year to cause you to be deterred! God's word reminds us that He is doing a new thing, but He didn't say how, He didn't say when and He didn't say that obstacles wouldn't try to spring up in the process. However, He does tell us not to focus on the former things. A former thing can be something from 2021 or further back in your past. A former thing can be a goal or an expectation that you had for God and it didn't come to past. Whatever that "former thing" is, know that nothing is too big for God even if it seems to be too big for you! We serve a WAY MAKER who will wreck any circumstance about us! Don't let up! See you on Thursday for the prayer line!
