1.11.21 Motivational Monday

Happy Monday y’all! It’s the second Monday of the year & I hope y’all are excited as I am, even with it being a Monday. Mondays really set the tone for the rest of the week! I was reading Proverbs 15:4 this morning: “The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.” (NIV version) and I thought about how our words really hold value. The same way we can build others up and/or tear them down, we can do this over ourselves as well. Recently, I made a commitment to speak over myself daily! I try not to just say things to say them, but instead I speak those things are though they are. “I am a wealthy multi-millionaire. I am free from bondage. I’ll never be broke again! I am loved and chosen by the Most High. I am powerful. I am worthy. I’ll break every generational curse out of my bloodline that God allows me to break. I am mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially whole. I am walking in God’s will and His plan for my life.” And the positive affirmations continue! Even if I’m not all the way there yet, I’m believing God for alignment for these things as He sees fit according to His will. I felt so full after speaking these things over myself, but it also made me think about when I don’t speak in the highest regard about ME! Why do we sometimes struggle with seeing ourselves the way that God sees us? Why is it hard for us to believe in our dreams, goals and aspirations for our lives the same way that God believes in us? Some of us have answers and for some of us, it’s rhetorical. Either way.. this week I challenge you to think about who you are and who you want to become. Then ask God for clarity and direction so that you can get into alignment with His will regarding this. Whenever the clarity comes, start speaking it to yourself and over yourself until you believe it. Trust that in God’s timing, every need and want that you have will be fulfilled as it matches up with His will for your life. Have a great week! 🙏🏾❤️
