Rejection is apart of the plan:

I ran across a simple, profound statement and I HAD to talk about this on this platform today: “Just as hurt people, hurt people…rejected people reject people.” For some reason, it stuck with me and I started to think about all of the pros and cons that come with rejection. You feel sadness, you feel hurt, your feel pain and confusion, amongst a magnitude of other feelings—especially if the rejection is coming from someone or something close to you. But when man rejects you, it’s an opportunity for God to REMIND you that it’s HIS approval that truly holds the weight. People or situations often judge you before they reject you and James 2:13 reminds us: “Because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.” Even if people don’t give you mercy, God loves you enough to give you His. When people reject you, don’t lean on those same people to reverse it or to console you…LEAN ON GOD. Psalm 27:10 tells us: “Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close.” Press in to Him and watch Him turn what was meant for bad into good concerning you! Allow your pain to be pressured into PURPOSE. As we transition into a new year, this is often the time when people reflect on the good, bad, the ugly and the lessons of the current year while devising a plan on how to make the upcoming year their best year yet. 2021 was a grand year for some and a rocky one for others. If you dealt with rejection at all in 2021–from a friendship, relationship, opportunity, or anything else that disappointed you and made you feel rejected…REJOICE IN THAT! It’s easier said than done but these 2 scriptures make it impossible for me to not rejoice in things or people I’ve felt rejected by: Deuteronomy 14:2 “You have been set apart as holy to the Lord your God, and he has chosen you from all the nations of the earth to be his own special treasure.” And Pslam 118:22: “The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.” Simply put, YOU ARE SPECIAL TO GOD, even if you don’t feel special in those circumstances that rejected you. It doesn’t matter who or what rejects you, God has already chosen you and no man can come against His good will for your life. This message is not for everyone, but if this is for you…I challenge you to live FROM His acceptance and not FOR the acceptance of others. I love you and have a blessed week! ❤️🙏🏾
