2.8.21 Motivational Monday

Happy Monday! I wanted to share one of my favorite scriptures with y’all: James 1:2-3 which talks about counting it all joy, even when you encounter trials and tribulations because even those tests will help you have endurance in this crazy world! It took me a long time to really resonate with this scripture because I thought to myself: “well I’d love to be full of joy everyday, but that’s not realistic.” But the more I sat on the scripture, my perspective and interpretation changed. We aren’t being guided to be joyous everyday, but instead to understand that “all things are still working together for our good, so smile regardless.” You didn’t get that promotion you wanted? Count it all joy because God has something better! Spent money you weren’t expecting to spend? Count it all joy because it’s coming back to you tenfold. Lost a friendship or a relationship? Count it all joy because God is making room for something new! If you experienced anything else that caused you discomfort, prepare for a positive transition! Remember, nothing can happen to you without God’s permission and even the tests and trials can be apart of God’s plan for your life. Count it all joy knowing that when you are connected to the kingdom, NOTHING is impossible!! Have a phenomenal week!
